It is puzzling that she vanished from the chess programming. It always seemed to me that the chess computers, be it programming or just playing with them, is one of those incurable bugs that last a lifetime. In any case, Kathe's books, on Z80 assembly and on Sargon (coauthored with Dan) are in my chess computing bookshelf (even though I haven't programmed Z80 in over 12 years; her book was the best on assemby language). Who knows maybe she is reading this board, or talks to someone who is.
