Becoming an engine rather than a full-program is the path to the exit from the chess programming scene for me as a customer. I would rather have M-Chess or any other program with its own interface, be it simple DOS, or Windows. There was a talk of it becoming an MCS engine some time ago, but I guess that failed. Rebel is a great product in itself and with its customer support alone it can fight with ChessBase.
