As I said, there seems to be a problem with the present updates. The midis don't work as they should. You never could select what you wanted when the device was working correctly. You could only choose between the pop and Bach. They would then play sequentially. The only way at present you can select the music you want is to boot up your midi player, go to the Music folder in Fritz or Chessbase and select what pieces you want. As you can see there is the modern stuff and in Bach you have cantatas, suites, etc. Just select what you want and start playing them, then minimize the player and go to Fritz. The music keeps playing untill you stop it or if you run out of selections, unless you tell your midi player to loop back. Of course, that way you don't have to select just the Chessbase midis. You can play Mahler, Chopin, or whatever. A small midi player doesn't take up much of anything, so it shouldn't cause a problem. I know that if Fritz has all those midis it should allow you to have a selection process, and I don't know why it doesn't. Anyway, I hope this helps. Don On October 09, 1999 at 02:49:59, Lawrence S.
