I do. I need to add some features so that she will be able to play for anyone.
As of right now, there is code in there that has her username, password, and my
username (she only takes orders from me :) ). I need to make those command line
or property file variables before I can send her out. Also, there are some
nagging bugs which MUST be removed before she can go out into the world. :)
>What is your evaluation of "her" ;) strength?
rating RD win loss draw total best
Blitz 1970 37.8 528 352 39 919 2023 (07-Oct-99)
Standard 1738 162.5 30 24 0 54 1606 (01-Aug-96)
Lightning 2175 47.4 346 181 25 552 2195 (21-Sep-99)
These are her ratings on FICS. Each time I fix some nagging bug, I estimate a
40 point gain (especially since some won games are completely thrown away
against lower rated players) I dont allow her to play standard right now so that
rating probably a little low. Its from the first saboteur written in C about 4
years ago.
I have seen her play some great positional/tactical ideas, and I have also seen
her get mangled by a simple kingside attack. I also know that my opening book
gets exausted after 1 or 2 moves, and she doesn't REALLY have good opening play.
I guess I'm rambling but oh well :)
>Can you compile it to a JavaApplet so that we can play it on the net?
I dont plan on making her in applet form because the speed lost would destroy
her play. Plus with the hash tables, she uses up a whole lot of memory and that
would most likely cause a browser to barf. :)
