I also think commercial C++ are too expensive !
My opinion: Think about LINUX ! It includes many free but professional
development tools, e.g the Gnu C++ compiler, which is also used by Bob's crafty,
one of the best open-source-chess programs ! I personally use it, and there are
many helpful tools, like debbugers, profilers, etc. all free !
So think about it, maybe it's time to say good-bye to Microsofts OS (and the
blue screens :-)) !
