I hope that a competitor will post some explanations and data here. You can survey the Clichy and Europe Echecs sites too (www.clichy-echecs.org www.echecs.com ). BTW Clichy has organized a very nice event around computers and chess this weekend. The French Computers Chess Championship won by Capture, the French Championship of computer professionals won by IGM Apicella and strong IGM Lautier playing 4 programs simultaneously with a score of 2/4. It's interesting to see that Lautier played the first 4 programs of the Championship but this was decided and played _before_ it ends! Nice guess form the organizers! Some background information. Clichy is the current French team champion. Lautier is the number 1 player of the team. The FCCC is organized since its first edition by Pierre Nolot who is currently President of the Clichy Chess Club, with the help of other people. Clichy is in the suburbs of Paris.
