It kills my program often too, though I think my program thinks much deeper. I think it is it's eval that is pretty good. Often I see my program come good out of the opening (without book). Both programs agree GNU is slightly worse. But then, GNU takes the initiative, with many pawnmoves and not much later GNU says 1,70 where my Eval is close to zero. And I think it *sees* something that my Eval doesn't see at all. Alsmost always it is right. And it's no tactical shots it sees, I don't think. For *occasionally* it appears to be wrong and that score melts away... Must be eval. Regards, Bas Hamstra.
