I can't help that.  When it was first reported, I immediately pointed out, here
on CCC, that what Ed played wasn't a 'real deep blue junior' machine.  I
explained exactly what it was and why it was not the real thing.  Hsu/Campbell
simply told him directly, since he didn't want to 'take my word for it, he
wanted to hear it from Hsu directly'.

He heard.  directly.

that 'claim' ought to be totally dropped now, as it ought to be pretty
obvious that what was played was _not_ "Deep Blue Junior" as anyone would
recognize it, just a simple web-based thing that happens to use one chip from
the DB project...

If the 'truth' makes you like them less, then I suppose I simply don't under-
stand that reasoning.  Or is it that you would really prefer if a micro _could_
beat DB Jr 3-0 and now that it is obvious that didn't happen, the results don't
suit you as well?

DB Jr is a monster, by _any_ measure you'd care to apply.  Against micro
programs or GM players...
