Tiger can use more than 32Mb hash tables. During the French Championship it used
64Mb for example.
The problem is that under DOS, the HIMEM driver seems to not be able to provide
all the memory Tiger asks for. In a DOS box under Windows Tiger is generally
able to use more than 32Mb.
Anyway this problem is not important as it will not exist in the commercial
Windows version.
The absolute limit so far for Tiger is 256Mb hash tables.
