MS doesn't MAKE you do anything. The problem with the Linux/Windows debate is that it is pointless. Each OS has it's own portion of the market. Each OS has it's own followers. Each OS has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Just because MS decided to make money with some of their beta products does not make their OS' any better or worse. It just makes MS more market savvy than the rest of the industry. And, just because there are a bunch of Linux guru's out there who are used to "free software" (including beta releases of non-Linux products) does not make purchased software (beta or release) worse either. And assuming a major differentiation between beta and released software for purchasing purposes is dubious at best. I have seen beta software that you cannot find a bug in and I have seen released software that is so buggy as to be unusable. From my point of view, a purchased beta product can be considered the same as the old style service pack 0 released version of a product, they just changed the name. And, I know I will be upgrading it with further service packs regardless. KarinsDad :)
