US copyright case law is clear here.  _any_ text anyone writes has an implicit
copyright that they must explicitly give up before the text can be copied with
no permission.  This includes things posted on a public message board, sent
thru email, thru usenet news, etc.  There are reasonable use things to iron
out, ie if you post something to usenet, Deja archives it.  But they will remove
anything if asked by the original poster.
