I usually play electronic chess against Genius 5, mainly because I bought an autoresponse board that works only with this program. At level 0 sec per move I think it is playing about 1800 elo (a 30 minutes game for my own time control). But at level 2 sec per move the game is much harder and the strength is at least 2200 elo for the same time control. I also achieved a test: genius 5 versus CM6000, using the 10 Nunn positions. The result is a draw (10-10) for 30 minutes games; I find this result surprising because the rating of CM6000 is about 100 points higher in the SSDF list and my question is: Which test is more reliable: the 10 predefined Nunn positions or a match of 20 or 50 games using the random openings of each program. PS: I hope that my english is understandable as it is my first message in this language.
