I'm really starting to wonder if I, and some others, received defective CM7000 CD's. That would possibly explain the great differences which people are experiencing with it. I don't know how to test this theory other than to return the CD as defective and request a replacement. I'll probably do that, because it is certainly worthless to me as is, and I'm not really too worried about losing the US$19. I have been an enthusiastic devotee of former Chessmaster versions, so I'm reluctant to throw in the towel on this one easily. But maybe that's just wishful thinking... --JRM
