Subject: Question: Null move while searching the pv

Author: William Bryant

When you start a new iteration, and search the pv to the new depth, is it
better to allow null moves -- or not allow them until after the pv has been
searched.

Brief testing doesn't seem to show a difference.

My guess is, that since the PV is the best line returned from the previous
depth,
it would seem better to search this line completely, (not try to cut off with
a null move until the search of these moves is complete).

Any help would be appreciated.
