Opinion Poll questions: Given a computer chess program playing 50 games at 40/2 under normal playing conditions against human opposition of average rating 2500: 1.Computers would perform better in tournament play than in match play(yes, no, same, abstain) 2. All the top commercial programs would perform much the same(yes, no, abstain) 3. Overall, tactics would play a larger role than strategy in determining the outcome(yes, no, same, abstain) 4. A random pool of human players from 10 years ago would perform as well as today's random human pool. (Yes, no, same, abstain) Thoughts, revisions?
