basically I said he is exaggerating.  A lie is a totally false statement.
Obvious computer programs are very strong.  Just not as strong as he is
stating.  He probably has lots of reasons to make such a statement, from
losing to DB, to having trouble in fast games in public.  Etc.

How so?  Dlugy is getting drubbed by computers on ICC.  If he exaggerates
downward, he only makes himself look worse, which I doubt he would do.

Sure...  and then that puts the micros at a more realistic 2100 rating.
That makes perfect sense.

Maybe, maybe not.  But I tend to believe the many, rather than the 'few'.
Particularly when the 'few' have direct ties to a company that sells chess
computers.  Because suddenly you have to take their statements in light of
a direct commercial connection, rather than assuming they are completely
independent in their opinions.  Nothing more, nothing less.
