I agree Peter.  If you go to ICC and watch a few hundred blitz games of GM's vs
computers you will see it.  GM's seem to have an "Understanding" of the game
that can't be put into words.(By neophites like me)  Most of their mistakes seem
to come in real time trouble late in the middle game when tactics are still
available to the computers.  Of course a lot of their wins/draws comes from the
anti computer type chess that Bob works on constantly in Crafty.  Also,
commercial programs are stagnent and become easier targets over time.
