It was pretty well accepted that this thing was a version of deep thought.  If
you search back through the archives of rec.games.chess (this was before
rec.games.chess.computer, when Hsu used to post things) you will see it played
matches vs a few grand masters. From memory it gave them a thrashing in blitz.

I personally played a single blitz game against the thing, but unfortunately
didn't keep the score.  I'm not even sure when I played it, either 1992 or 1993
I think.  Of course I lost my game, but thats not so bad considering scratchy's
rated blitz record of +141 =4 -1.
