After further thought, there were one or two interesting things about CM7000 so I re-installed it on the weekend and spent several hours with it. I'm afraid I have to say that I actually do like it a little better than CM6000. I like the database openings user interface and format better. Installation went fine with no problems at all. I have noticed only two small bugs. 1. I sometimes cannot enter the database from the icon strip at the left of the screen. When I try it takes me to a blank screen. I must go back to the main screen and click on it there. 2. Sometimes the Visual Thinking display leaves extra pieces on the board. One thing that I have noticed which I don't understand and is a major pain is that the database seems to take 3 or 4 times longer than CM600 to search for a position. It has only about 9% more games than CM6000. Any ideas? I havn't had time for a though comparison of the tutorials. Has anyone compared the tutorials from CM6000 to CM7000 yet? What's your opinion? Dave
