i've always maintained that improvements in a particular chess software (if there really are any improvements in the real sense of the word)are only possible upto a certain stage after which that programme hits the wall-genius, rebel, mchess pro, perhaps nimzo and now fritz! My suspicions wre first aroused when chessbase did not show any games from the nunn position showing fritz6 beating its predecessors and thus showing its superiority-this has now been confirmed by those of you who have had the opportunity to test f6-if at all it is weaker than its predecessors-perhaps this would have been ok if fritz had been released as a multi-processor capable engine but this is not so. On the other hand there are exciting new processors being released-i would save my money on upgrading to better hardware (athlon to hit 1GHz in jan)rather than waste money on new software rajen
