10.21.99 Fellow Members-- I was just looking through my most recent copy of Signals: A Catalog for Fans and Friends of Public Television (Holiday 1999) and on page 59, I found a computer chess program with board and pieces called Grandmaster Electronic Chess Game. It has 100 levels of play, 3,000 sample, pre-stored oepnings from master players, and 32 championship matches stored in memory. The pieces are big as well -- the king is 3.5-inches. I cannot find a web site to correspond with this catalog (there is not one listed anywhere in the catalog that I can find nor does a search on metacrawler provide any answer). Does anyone have any information on this program? The large pieces would be a big improvement over the Kasparov/Radio Shack offering but I have no idea about the quality of the program itself. Any information would be welcome. Thanks to all, Kelly Patterson
