I just got chessbase 7.0. I went to analyze a game, I was going to use Fritz5,
which the program says it comes with. The problem I have run into is that
Fritz5 isnt showing up as one of my choices of engines within Chessbase. I
Currently own Hiarcs 7.32, so the engines that are showing up in CB when i want
to analyze are Hiarcs, Crafty, Comet, Exchess, Tablebase and CDrom 1-4. Im
running Windows 98 and so 16 bit shouldnt have anything to do with it. When I
look in Explorer under C:\Program Files\ChessBase\CB70\Engines I can see the
Fritz 5 engine but no .dll file with it. I tried moving the engine to the
actual place where CB looks for the engines C:\Program Files\ChessBase\Engines
but it still doesnt show up inside CB, I think it is due to the missing .dll
file. If anyone has run into this or knows where that .dll file is, I would
really appreciate if you could tell me.
Thank you in advance
Brad
P.S. I just looked at the box, it does say that Fritz5 and Crafty are included
in the package.
