Dear James, The reason I can think of why Crafty says that after Nf7+ it is a mate in 10 moves is the following: 1. Nf7+ Kg8 (1...Qxf7 2.Rxf7 Rg8 3.Re1 is mate in 4) 2. Nh6+ Kh8 and now the initial position is reached again! With 3. Rf7 White delivers mate in 7. Alex
