That doesn't happen. What does happen is that humans will get into time trouble, and disconnect so that they can study the position carefully... You won't find someone that plays 1000 games and then suddenly disconnects. You will find a definite pattern. > >I also do nor understand the no playing more than 4 games in a row against >computers. Simple: I want to play humans. I am working on improving how it plays against humans. I generally don't 'like' most computers on ICC because of several reasons: (1) they use N different programs; (2) they override the programs when playing an obviously bad move; (3) they get new hardware, and then want to play the highest rated opponent they can to bump their rating up, because the old rating is now way too low. (4) etc... I have logged on several times in the past to find dozens of games against a single computer, with complaints from humans about not being able to 'get in' and play. I have allowed many programs to play as much as they want. Bruce (ferret) is one. Vincent (diepx) ditto. Zarkov... Steffen plays unrated games using hossa all the time. I try to help other 'programmers' by giving them a strong opponent they can test against, and I have an 'auto-kibitz' feature that will cause crafty to kibitz analysis when it plays those programs, so that their authors can see what Crafty is seeing. >I can understand it about automatic programs because they can wait but >I think programs(operated manually) should have the same rights as humans. > >Uri I don't. I want to play games vs humans (mainly GM/IM humans). I find that to be much more interesting to watch, and I learn a lot more about the 'holes' I have in my evaluation by watching how GMs manage to beat me.
