Having watched a number of amateur engines play on ICC, I think that the color of the square on which the pawn promotes and the color of the opponent's bishops should also be considered. That is, if the square on which the pawn promotes is white, and the opponent has a single white-square bishop, your passer can more easily be blocked, or captured the move after it promotes. Becomes very frustrating, since Bishops have much mobility in an open endgame. I don't know if anyone is doing this, but it seems relevant.
