I have noticed a harsh tone (or so it appeared to me) on both sides of this fence. Deciding to censure a post requires something pretty forceful, normally. I do hope that both Bob and Amir can remain calm and discuss in the tone of a true gentleman. Bob and Amir are two of the most respected chess computer programmers in the world. Certainly this forum benefits greatly due to the contributions of each. Personally, crafty is my favorite program and I definitely intend to buy a copy of Junior as soon as it is possible to analyze EPD. I respectfully request that both parties consider their tone when posting. If either party feels the clear need to use stronger terms perhaps the recourse of private email would be in order. I have not seen a post by either side that I felt should be removed. However, I have seen posts by both sides that made me feel a bit uneasy. I think it is probably true that chess programmers get cut extra slack. I think it is also true that we get used to a person's posting style and perhaps subconsciously make extra allowance even though we should not. At any rate, I hope that both will take this message as a gentle suggestion.
