Possibly something like:

Maximum time: (150 - movenumber) / 2 in seconds.

If the same move has been on the PV for 1/2 maximum time, make the move.

I haven't really thought alot about this, but it would seem that it is like any
other endeavor. The fewer mistakes in the beginning, the easier it is to win.
Therefore, middlegame moves should have a little more time than endgame moves.
This system drops 0.5 seconds per move from a maximum of 70 seconds for move 10
to 25 seconds for move 100.
