Amir remembers. I wasn't trying to dig Amir with that, I brought it up because
I knew he'd remember. Was there something before that? It is possible that I
am wrong about that, but this incident did happen.

I am not interested in dealing with situations where people who don't like Bob
get into some conflict with him and shout, "ooh, ooh, he said something mean,
throw him out!" This has happened several times already, and it will happen in
the future, too. Eventually, there will be a moderator who simply counts the
number of times that this happens, decides by some mathematical formula that Bob
is trouble, and poof, no more Bob. Is that a better world than this one?

This "special policy" thing is people trying to pin me down on something that I
have not been able to express very well.

In a game you can have very strict rules, because the possible interactions are
pretty narrow. It is harder to have strict rules here since it is hard to
predict everything anyone can do, and there can be disagreement about whether
something is positive or negative.

And opinions about the people involved can have something to do with the
arguments generated. For instance, if I use the word "fuck" in a sentence, even
as an example, there are probably several of you whose first thought is how this
can be used to get me in trouble.

But anyway, it is possible to have extremely strict moderation here. That's not
me, sorry. If someone demonstrates that they are here to talk about computer
chess, I would be in favor of trying to accomodate a few rough spots on their
personality, in the interests of avoiding homogeneity.
