It has never happened shortly after startup, just randomly in the middle of play. The program seems to be running fine until this happens, and it doesn't happen every time. I will give your tips a try this weekend. The F8 trick also works, but I'm puzzled why Rebel 10 benchmarks better from the Windows shortcut than from Win98 "DOS." I would expect the opposite. Thanks.
