There may be another reason as well.  At all ACM and ICCA WCCC events, it was
strictly forbidden to enter a 'commercial program'.  Many used to add the word
-experimental to the end of the normal name to handle this.  The intent was to
prevent the commercialization of the ICCA sanctioned events.
