I like the freeware programs crafty and phalanx just as much as CM7K.
All of them destroy me equally well, but in different ways.

Winboard is one of my favorite interfaces. I can get a board to play on,
get an analysis window or a list of games to look at. I really don't use
other features on commercial programs.

I respectfully disagree. I think that freeware is right up there w/ the best
programs, and the price is right.
