I plainly pointed out that crafty's rating had dropped like a rock _prior_ to my removing you from the +noplay list (you were put there due to some unknown infraction my interface did not like, whether it was too many disconnects or too many consecutive games is a point for discussion). Crafty's rating had zilch to do with your being on or off the noplay list at that point in time. Nothing else was said by me. >My value judgement on 3 is that you can play whoever you want, but if you don't >want to play, you should stop claiming in any way that the result will be in >your favour. > I don't make "claims" about results vs other programs. I watched Berliner say "HiTech is on another level and won't lose to a computer again" in 1985, and then watched him have to eat that in 1986. I watched Kasparov say the same thing in 1996 and have to eat it in 1997. I prefer to play, and let the chips fall where they may. Rather than saying who I can beat and how badly... >About your failure to correct 2: You jumped on the poster with your 2 games, bu t >failed to correct his statement and make him aware that you are noplaying ban >(something he innocently didn't know). I had _already_ posted here that I would not play you again. I don't play folks that call me a liar. With zero evidence of any kind, other than watching my program lose one game on time. How many games have _you_ lost on time? Were _you_ being abusive? Or did you _really_ just lose on time? I know what the answer for _crafty_ is. I have no idea on what you do, nor would I speculate. You did. > >I'd like to think that you concealed this fact because you are ashamed of it. >It's indeed something to be ashamed of. Hardly. I don't like some of your actions. Some of your words. But all you have to do is "his" crafty from time to time. It is not doing particularly great. Bruce/Peter noticed it was doing some strange things. Peter mentioned one he saw to me yesterday. It was right in the middle of the (what should have been) simple changes I made last weekend. But I neglected to consider all the possible ramifications and "took a lickin'" as a result. Stefen (Hossa) beat me for the same problem. As far as my 'rating spike' if you look back, this has happened several times. The previous best by Crafty was 3249 done back in the summer sometime. The current best was done a week+ ago. Neither have anything to do with varguz or ban, sorry. They have _everything_ to do with a couple of human GM players that play way too many games at one time. Don't give yourself too much credit for keeping my rating down. It isn't the answer. Your 2-3-4 games per day have _no_ effect on my rating when you consider that I also play 50-100 games over that same period vs very strong (high-rated) humans. Such as cptnbluebear, kaidanov, vic11, etc. The 100 games they play more than washes out the effect of 3-4 games... Ferret's return is a good thing. And he will affect a lot of ratings. But note that my previous 'record' ratings were established while he was playing actively. We don't sit around and play each other all day every day.
