If you get GM players who play fast games against computers, this will result in wild rating fluctuations, mostly upward, over a very short period of time, regardless of what else is going on. The meaning of this is approximately zero, which is why the meaning of ratings on ICC is approximately zero. I'm agreeing with you, but I'm saying it differently. bruce
