Hi Guys, CHALLENGE: My Father is putting this same request to a Driving Simulation Forum. I reckon I'll get nicer & better advice than he will. With our latest issue of ICCA Journal we got a free ChessBase Magazine No 71. That's good eh! When I try to play the videos, the player starts and there is sound, but instead of pictures I've got a white screen with the message "Video not available, cannot find ‘Vids:IV32' decompressor". I tried playing the .avi files on Real Player. Real Player went off into the net to get it's required components (magic?), but gave sound and the same message instead of Video. This same thing has happened with the opening video on CM6k & MonopolyCD Game, for about a month now, we used to be able to see the movie. We also used to be able to view any .avi files with no trouble (I don't know what program we used as now I've made RealPlayer the default.) Dad has been installing, and uninstalling MP3 Players, Recorders, Rippers & stuff. He has also been installing and uninstalling Driving Simulators (Driver, CMcRea Rally, Toca2 etc). I reckon he has deleted a necessary file/s for .avi viewing. In the past with this sort of problem the message says the file it can't find, but this is trickier. We're using Windows 98. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. A recomendation of where on the web I should have taken this request (the computer chess link is a bit tenuous) will also be accepted gratefully. Thanks guys Tina Long PS: FreeWare & ShareWare Rule!!!!
