Firstly I personally disagree with your step 2, but let me give you some
background I think you may have missed.

The current batch of Moderators gave their views on the above as their "election
platform" before we the members voted for them earlier this year.  None of the
current Moderators fitted with your Step 2 before their election, and therefore
should not change to your step 2 after their election.

Next round of Moderator elections MAY provide a moderator who agrees with your
step 2, and she/he MAY be voted in.  You too may stand to be a moderator. I
don't think being a Moderator is much fun, they cannot please all the people all
the time.

Also, what is an offensive fight to one viewer may be entertainment to another.
Sometimes, in amongst these "bickerings" still valid computer-chess arguments
are presented.
