I don't think there ever was any updates for the Schroeder programmes after version 3.1. However, there are at least two more recent King engines for ChessMachine, version 2.2 and version 2.54. Unfortunately, my ChessMachine often freezes (I have to reboot the computer) when using the King 2.0, 2.2 or 2.54. I have no idea why, it always works perfectly with the Schroeder engine. By the way, I still occasionally use my old ChessMachine 16MHz. Of course, most modern programs are much stronger on my Pentium Pro 200MHz, but ChessMachine is still a very nice program (and sometimes I want a weeker opponent). The GUI is wonderful, and the opening book editor is IMHO better than in all current top programs. Tord
