Right, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th would give a "404 - not found" errors on most sites. (On the icdchess.com site I redirect 404 errors to the home page). Best thing to do right now is to make sure there is at least one space before and after the URL. Trying to fix the URL is complicated and someone could always find a way to trip it up (http://www.icdchess.com/ccc], and just dropping the last character if it is punctuation is risky because in rare cases it might really be part of the URL ( http://babelfish.altavista.com/cgi-bin/translate? ), or there might be more than one, as above.
