Bella has the right of an opinion too. As long as she doesn't call us baboons I think she has a right to have a say. I'm afraid I may have kind of started some of that, saying that we only have words here to communicate and sometimes that can lead to misinterpretations because nonverbal signals are still very important for us. And if these signals aren't there words sometimes can acquire more weight than they should have for us. Like Thorsten said, we just can't evolve as fast as our high-tech society would like us to. We are not all that different from our far ancestors, I said in an e-mail. So taking away someone's right to speak also effectively robs him of all ways of communication. I didn't mean to question anybodys intelligence by that reasoning. Should we be living without any kind of hierarchy? I'm not sure we're up to that yet either... Thing is, I just think this kind of philosophical discussions tend to be like chesstrees without bounds, better suited to while away the night over a few big jugs of beer in a German pub maybe... But I liked Bella's fashion line for the new millenium, if that isn't too gender-oriented a thing too say... Regards, Eelco Sorry for yet another message with a low computer-chess content. I just thought this might give some clarification.
