Hi, Bella!
I forgot to say last time, 'Thank you, Doctor Freud!' :) You'll see why I
*really* thank you, below, in my last paragraph. :) Please bear with me while I
rid myself of some severely repressed humor. It's my own fault for keeping it
bottled up for so long...mea culpa! I've just got to laugh or I'll go crazy!
Oh, and I will sprinkle my remarks with emoticons :) or :( , so you will know my
precise emotional makeup as I reveal my innermost schitzophrenic feelings. :)
(I didn't mispell that as a bad word, did I? ok, it is mispelled alright) :)

Now what was it I wanted to cry about? :( Oh yes... :)
I was indeed being extraordinarily clever (you caught me!) but you supplied all
the humor, not me--by your prior postings, the above reply post, and your later
postings--thanks! :( Being 'hoisted by your own petard' doesn't require any
help and may be funny to others (reference: Oxford English Dictionary, America's
Funniest Home Videos, or any television comedy show). :) I guess that goes with
the turf (life!). :)
I think Ju-Jitsu works on the same principle--you take the momentum generated by
another person and use it against them to turn them upside down. :) You don't
really have to add much force of your own. :)
I didn't know your gender (really, how could I? :) ); and I didn't know you
would be so sensitive (here I plead guilty again--I *should* have known! I
should be a mind reader!) :) .
NOTE (and please don't take these caps as 'shouting', it's just my style!!!!!
like overuse of some punctuation symbols at times)--that I think this
oversensitivity is actually a form of self-repression that leads to immoderate
censorship of others (I believe Freud wrote extensively about this). And that
spells trouble, which starts with 'T' and rhymes with 'P', etc (reference the
musical: The Music Man). :)
I tried and tried and tried to act like a sensible moderator (although
admittedly I'm not an official one) and a sensible person--you know, by
self-moderating, by lightly poking at something before it got completely out of
hand, hoping beyond hope that others would be self-moderating too. :( Little
did I know that... :) It took great force of character to hold back, like our
moderators (I can now identify with them!--thanks guys!, as Tina would say :)
).
You stated 'Sensible folk steer well clear of places where these sorts abound.'
:) You're right, you're absolutely right, I shouldn't be here at all. :(
Especially since my interest is computer chess (fancy that!)--not vapid dialog,
nor off topic trivialities, nor well-intentioned trolls. :(
This kind of sensibility (that you mentioned) is not a gender thing--you quickly
got that wrong on your own, in your reply (no Ju-Jitsu required). :) (perhaps
more Ju-Jitsu, I'm not sure...) :(
The punch line *really* was--
I wonder why *you* haven't steered well clear of here. :) Per your own
petard, of course ('Sensible folk steer well clear of places where these sorts
abound.'), not mine. :) I have enough petards of my own to worry about,
believe me. :( Petards are like missing socks--you can't imagine where they
went to, then, whammo! someday they show up!

I categorically deny and respectfully claim no knowledge of emails from/to you
and Bruce Moreland. That sounds like a case of private abuse to me (but I
wouldn't know for sure, since I never saw the alleged transmissions--if the
parties want, they can privately email them to me, but do not, under any
circumstances, break any copyright rules in so doing, thanks). How I would know
something about that, let alone want to be involved, is beyond me. :( However,
thanks for sharing! :) It's nice to know that some parties avail themselves of
that recourse, instead of flooding this CCC forum and aggrevating all the
readers. :)

What fire? Are you heated and incensed about something? :) I never used bad
words in this forum and certainly not to you. If you believe I did so, please
point them out in a public posting, here, for all to judge. :(
You are more than welcome to post on sensible topics at any time--hey, what
about computer chess! as one example that comes to mind. !!!!!! :)
I did not know and I do not know that you are a 'female personage'. :) :( If
you say that you are, I accept your opinion on the matter as final. :) If your
opinion should change later, I will accept such change without question. :( :)

Certainly, you being new, I can see where you rightfully think that all the
'joke' abuse is heaped on one particular gender. :( Oooooh and it is a real
tragedy, I think. :) Good thing you didn't post under the name Bob or Amir.
:), let alone Christopher or Ed. :) That's why I post under the name 'Steve'.
They confuse me with the owner of CCC and I don't take as much heat (thanks,
Steve Schwartz! we're cool!).
Please clarify if you are referring to me as one of the 'clever' males (but
don't assume a reply is necessary). :) If so, thanks in advance! :) I have
no problem with being thought of as 'clever'. :) Joke abuse is possibly some
sort of twisted joke in itself :( --I'll have to discuss that with my shrink
(Fernando, can you give me a quick professional referral? Thanks!). :)

>Horrified.
Wow! Almost like an Alfred E. Hitchcock film, an H.P. Lovecraft story! or a
novel by Edgar Allen Poe! Develop the horror by subtle foreshadowing, a slow
building of ominous suspense, a hint or two but never, never by slapping the
reader with the thing itself!!!!! Because that would be too obvious and would
ruin the intent!
Pardon me, but *you* don't seem horrified at *anything*. :) I better clarify
this with the following statement 'This is the opinion of the posting person
only, and may or may not reflect the true opinions of other users of this
bulletin board'. :) There! One man, one vote! (oops, sorry-- 'one person, one
vote' is more politically correct as I'm sure you'd be quick to agree) Stand up
and be counted! :)
Bottom line--IMHO you are a 'put on' :) , a troll I couldn't resist! (such an
ugly thing to say!) :) I don't take you seriously (yes, I will ask my shrink
about this, soon as Fernando gets me the referral). :) I laugh at your postings.
:) I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the humerous interlude whereby
we can forget our 'Battle Chess' wars. :) However, I personally think this
entire thread should be deleted and permanently expunged from CCC. :( We need
to get back to CCC--remember? Computer! Chess! Club! (aaargh! <groan> I
think this last word will be taken the wrong way, I better git!).
