And what would you do when more than one 'manual' program offers a draw multiple
times per move, _every_ move, hoping to catch the score < drawscore and get a
quick draw?

Crafty plays as it does against computers, because in general, manual computer
operators are pretty poor sports (of course, programs run by their authors are
generally an exception, but 99% of the computers on ICC are _not_ run by their
authors, and are only there to see how high the rating can be driven, for
reasons I don't understand.

I have no sympathy for that particular 'class' of player.  Authors will tell
you that when I am present, and I see them playing crafty, I intervene and have
it offer/accept draws whenever appropriate, and offer adjourns when they ask me
to on the occasions when they need to leave to go somewhere.
