The only publicly available chess program using "The King" that I know of
is Chessmaster 4000/5000/6000/7000. The version of "The King" playing in
the Dutch tournament is a version or two ahead of those in Chessmaster,
but the version of "The King" in Chessmaster 6000 was good enough to be the
highest rated engine the SSDF has tested on their Pentium 200 platforms,
ahead of Fritz, HIARCS, Nimzo, etc. (Note - statistically, they are pretty
much tied - the rating differences are MUCH less than the rating uncertainties).

The site:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/thstorm/partic99.htm
has this information on "The King":

The King/ AMD K7, 550 MHz, 17 MB/ Johan de Koning / Delft, NL
The King is an experimental version of Chessmaster x000.
