IS'T THERE A QUALITY CHESS PROGRAM THAT WILL ANALIZE A GAME >AND GIVE CHESSBASE STYLE VARIATIONS WITH REBEL STYLE NUMERICAL EVALUTIONS? Crafty makes annotations that can be followed by Chessbase programs, even through the moves that it suggests and the possible moves that it sees posible from the move made in the game. Crafty is what I always use to annotate games with. Crafty will give you the value of it's earch for a given move in terms like "$16" and if you need to look up what that means then goto http://www.clark.net/pub/pribut/standard.txt and save that page as a text file, on that page look for this section: 10: Numeric Annotation Glyphs, (just remember to look for section 10) and that will list the values. Most of them will fall into the range of $10 to $20, see below. Pete 10 drawish position 11 equal chances, quiet position 12 equal chances, active position 13 unclear position 14 White has a slight advantage 15 Black has a slight advantage 16 White has a moderate advantage 17 Black has a moderate advantage 18 White has a decisive advantage 19 Black has a decisive advantage 20 White has a crushing advantage (Black should resign) 21 Black has a crushing advantage (White should resign)
