Just recently I watched "The Great Chess Movie", I think made in the mid 1980's.
It's mostly about Fischer, Karpov and Korchnoi, but it did have a small
2-5 minute section on chess computers. There was a scene with Coudari (one of
film's directors/creators), Ken Thompson and Mike Valvo and a forth guy who I
always wondered who he was (probably the guy you mentioned, Joe Condon). I
remember the scene because Valvo was talking about chess in terms of
the light/dark side of Star Wars. The forth guy then entered the conversation
and said something like, "yea, but computers don't believe in that
philosophical B.S.", which elicited some laughter from the group.
