King and two Knights can't *force* mate against a lone King, but positions can be reached where the weaker side blunders into a mate in one. For example. White, Ns on e4 and h4, K on h6. Black K on g8. 1 Nf6+ Kh8?? 2 Ng6#, but obviously Black didn't have to play that way. Marc
