What bothers me is that Rebel cannot win a KQKR endgame vs Fritz and Fritz does not have tablebases either. I don't consider this strong endgame play, especially when Rebel trades into this endgame thinking it is winning. I guess even Shredder is sticking to the Ken Thompson databases instead of going to the superior Nalimov tablebases. I have spent several hundred dollars on Chess Programs in the last year and I still can't get what I would like in a program. As a matter of fact if I put them all into one program I still would not have my ideal program. Anyway my pool table is installed now so I think I'll forget about computer chess for a while and teach my wife how to rack the balls. :-) Jim Walker
