AFAIK, Rebel for Windows will come with the same GUI as "Rebel Tiger", but it will take some time into the next year to happen. (So probably the GUI will be a big more advanced by then.) Upgrade conditions are highly improbable since Tiger is entirely different from Rebel, it just happens to be marketed by the same company. (And the names happen to be related, a slightly confusing decision IMO. I think many people will confuse "Rebel Tiger" with the "System Tiger" option in Rebel 10c or think that Tiger will be an "extra" to Rebel rather than an engine of its own.) You're not getting upgrades from Junior to Fritz either, although both come from Chessbase. >I've never noticed much of a reluctance by chess software companies too release >more products with the same features (or simular features). The actual _features_ of RebelWindows and Rebel Tiger will not be so different regarding the GUI, much as Junior/Hiarcs/Fritz/Nimzo all have the same set of "features" since they run under the same GUI. Of course the engines are entirely different, Rebel has some additional things like EOC support etc. --- Shep
