You are in the wrong message board for this question. This is about computers
playing chess and things related to that.
I'll answear your question anyway...
You are always allowed to castle when:
- The king and the rook are unmoved
- The king is not in check
- The king is not passing any "checked" or occupied square during the
castle move.
- The rook is not passing any occupied square during the castle move.
If you have been in check earlier doesn't matter. Only the rules above.
