Lin, I would advice you to try JFE. I find this editor very clean and smart at
the same time.

The page is in german, but you can download an english version of the editor.
You don't need any documentation to use it.

This program is free, and is impressively functional for a freeware program. It
does not need to be "installed" (you just copy it somewhere and that's all). The
only drawback for me is that it's rather big for an editor: 700Kb. But that's
because it uses the MFC.
