Fast chess is icky chess. The faster the programs play, the worse the quality of the games. We already get enough fast chess on the internet servers. Please, can't we leave it at tournament time controls? If we want more rounds, let the programs play with an automatic tournament manager and run 24 hours a day for as long as needed. >3) I'd also like to see the following participants: > - Hsu with a prototype of the Deep Blue Jr. card. > - Bob with Crafty running on a 16-processor alpha. > - Vincent with a stable version of Diep. > - Richard Lang with a *new* version of Genius. > - John Stanbeck with Zarkov. > - All the amateur programmers from Will Singleton's "green list" (including >Chris Whittington). ;-) > > >An interesting twist would be to add a few super GMs to the field. > >--Peter
