At least we agree that human players are not bean counters !!!
And how much of a hint is a +=, =, or =+ gives to a player? Not much, unless you
are a GM, and I don't think that an IM or GM would look at the numerical values
because these players would have a feel for the position and know based on their
experience if the position offers advantage to one side. The point is with the
advancement of chess engines, a lot of players put their trust in the computer
evaluations, and expect that a += or =+ (numerical value would be 0.25 to 0.50
in the chess engine evaluation) would finish the game with a win.
